A Vampire Love Story

Most teenagers, don't make the right decisions, and I am no exception to the rule. We all make mistakes, most of which we regret. Some of us, are more prone to mistakes than others. I am very prone to making mistakes, as was proven when my friends and I decided to visit that cemetery that Halloween night. I know, sounds like the beginning to a very typical horror story, but I don't consider it the beginning. It was merely a small part of my life, which some day I may come to regret. But not now, and not anytime in the near future, and my future is rather extensive. And I suppose, if you read his journal about this night, you would get two very different views on the same event. As I had said it was Halloween night, and my friends and I were the type to go cemetery hopping that night. Our area had several really nice cemeteries for the event. We had already been to several small ones, and we were on our way to the Ashitaka cemetery. It was the oldest, and creepiest, of the cemeteries we had planned to visit, and had held our appeal for the last couple months, having many legends surrounding it. We arrived sometime around midnight, and climbed out of the car. We had parked three blocks away and had planned on walking around the cemetery as to avoid the attention of the police officers that often guarded cemeteries this time of night. It was mostly to keep down vandilism, and we had no intentions to vandalize the graves. Hopping over the fence one by one, we slunk along the edge of the cemetery to the crypt that lie at the back. It was rumored to be the most haunted place in Japan, so being the curious and 'troubled' teens we were, we had gone to investigate. When we got there, we found the door unlocked and slightly adjar. We were puzzled at what this could mean, but continued onward, tiptoeing through the door into the dark hallway. "Do crypts usually have what looks like 200 flights of stairs downward?" Eri said, his voice trembling a little bit. He was cute, but always scared. It was almost pathetic to watch his pale blonde hair quiver and his blue eyes wide with terror. "If you don't want to come with Eri, you could always go wait for us in the car," Daisuke said sneeringly. He was always picking on Eri and it bothered the hell out of me. Can't two people just learn to get along? Plus I could sense the fear in Daisuke's voice too. "Why don't you both just shut up and wait for me in the car if your too cowardly to follow me. I'm going, and put that damn flashlight away!" I said to Daisuke as he pulled out a pocket light. He grumbled as he shoved it back in his pocket. I placed my hand on the wall that led downward into the crypt, and began to walk forward. "Slow down Ai! You're sure to trip if you go that fast while it's this dark," Eri said, concern dripping in his voice. It was almost disgusting how protective he was. We had all gotten used to it. It just proved that he was named well. I sighed and rolled my eyes, and Eri knew I was rolling my eyes at him. We kept walking, but our feet didn't find a flat surface for atleast 10 minutes of walking downward. The passage leveled out and no more than five steps in, flaming torches came to life on both sides of the hallway. Both Daisuke and Eri turn tailed and ran when the lights came on. It took me a moment to notice why. At the end of the hallway was a closed door, and painted on it was a huge symbol I had seen once before while I was reading. It was to seal evil, and it was painted in what looked like blood. I took a couple steps closer to the door, and my suspisions were confirmed. Definatly blood. I placed my hand on the door handle, and thought about it. If this symbol was sealing the evil that was behind the door, when the door was opened, the seal would be broken. Even as I thought this, I was still opening the door. I heard the latch click and pulled open the door gently, and stepped inside. The torches outside dimmed, and the ones inside lit to a very dim light. I saw a corpse at the other side of the room, and took a couple steps forward. I had not noticed that one of the stones stuck out a little, and I tripped, flying forward and my shoulder got cut on something in the room, I wasn't sure what, and my blood flew forward, landing on the corpse, spraying onto it's face as well. What I saw next should have scared me, should have sent me running, but I was ground in place. I couldn't move as the corpse began to shudder and writhe. I was stuck, torn between curiosity and terror. Flesh filled in the spaces between the bones
